Mr. Steven Brown is a seasoned Systems Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems, where he specializes in developing complex systems for defense applications. With over a decade of experience in systems integration and project management, Mr. Brown’s expertise lies in innovative solutions that meet stringent operational requirements. His analytical mindset and practical approach make him a valuable contributor to the evaluation process.

Mr. Earl Medeiros
Performance Engineering Consultant/Architect, DMTS
Dell Technologies
As a Performance Engineering Consultant and Architect at Dell Technologies, Mr. Earl Medeiros has extensive knowledge in optimizing system performance and reliability. His work focuses on high-performance computing and scalable architecture solutions. Mr. Medeiros brings a unique perspective to the judging panel, blending technical proficiency with industry insight, which is invaluable for assessing the feasibility and scalability of student projects.

Dr. Tom Northardt
Director,
Ocean Sensing Triton Systems, Inc.
Dr. Tom Northardt serves as the Director of Ocean Sensing at Triton Systems, Inc., where he leads initiatives in advanced sensing technologies and data analysis for marine applications. With a robust background in both academia and industry, Dr. Northardt’s expertise in sensor design and environmental monitoring will provide critical context when evaluating projects that incorporate these elements. His commitment to innovation in engineering education aligns perfectly with the goals of the ECE Senior Design program.

Ms. Erin Day
Senior Manufacturing Manager.
CIRCOR Naval Solutions – Warren
Erin received her bachelor’s degree from UMass Dartmouth in Mechanical Engineering in 2010. She received her master’s degree in Operation and Project Management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2015.

Mr. Nick Poliseno
Lead Hardware Engineer in the Systems Group
Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport.
Nick Poliseno is a UMass Dartmouth alum, having both an undergrad and graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as an Master’s in Business Administration. In addition, Nick is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and holds a graduate certificate from the University of Michigan in Lean Manufacturing. Having held roles in Quality, Design, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering, Nick has been able to experience a multitude of challenges. Nick has held positions at Lockheed Martin Sippican and Brookfield Engineering, but is most recently with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI as a Lead Hardware Engineer in the Systems Group.

Mr. Alex LeGendre
Team Lead, Manufacturing Operations
Human Systems Integration, Inc.
Alex has operations-focused management skills that he has developed over ten years across a variety of environments from large-scale capital systems to handheld consumer electronics. His experiences vary from “boots on the ground” field work with technicians troubleshooting subsystems to leading cross-functional teams to execute key goals on tight deadlines. His most recent experience focuses on Process Development, Program Management, Product Commercialization, and Supply Chain Management.
